Pay and pension

Arden & GEM offers all staff a salary that matches their ability and responsibilities, with an annual opportunity for pay progression through training and development. We adhere to the national pay system for the NHS — Agenda for Change — which is for all directly employed staff except doctors and the most senior managers.

All staff automatically become members of the NHS pension plan which is one of the most generous and comprehensive in the UK. We also provide financial benefits to employees and their families in the event of permanent disability or death in service.

Holiday entitlement and work-life balance

You will receive at least 27 days holiday entitlement (increasing to 29 days after five years and 33 days after 10 years of service), in addition to bank holidays. We also provide the option of buying or selling annual leave.

We want everyone at Arden & GEM to have a healthy work-life balance and have a range of initiative in place to support this including childcare vouchers, enhanced schemes for maternity and paternity leave and several other family-friendly policies.
