Arden & GEM has been shortlisted in the Health and Wellbeing category at the Investors in People Awards 2024.
The Investors in People Awards celebrate individual and organisational success from all over the world. Arden & GEM has been shortlisted in the ‘Award for Health and Wellbeing (over 500 employees)’ category for the fifth successive year in recognition of its efforts and success in supporting staff.
During 2024, the CSU has continued to build on its successful health and wellbeing strategy through introducing a number of new initiatives including:
- A virtual wellbeing week with ten workshops covering topics such as self-care, financial wellbeing, menopause awareness, sleep and neurodiversity
- The launch of monthly virtual ‘Social Drop in’ sessions which were co-designed with wellbeing champions and use themed breakout rooms to enable people to meet and chat about common interests such as gardening, crafting and sports
- Holding two ‘Cancer in Your Workplace’ masterclasses in collaboration with Macmillan Cancer Support after seeing an increase in the number of colleagues affected by cancer
- Providing in-house Mental Health First Aider refresher training for our existing mental health first aiders who are three years post qualification
- Enhancing ‘Project Me’ sessions to deliver a 12-month programme of bitesize learning to support the health, wellbeing and resilience of staff.
Commenting on the finalist announcement, Katrina Darwent, Health and Wellbeing Business Partner at NHS Arden & GEM said: “This is a fantastic achievement and one we are extremely proud of. Prioritising the health and wellbeing of our staff is not only part of our organisational strategy but also underpins our culture. With over 70% of colleagues working remotely, building and expanding online opportunities to generate conversations and support collaborative working has been key to health and wellbeing plans over the past 12 months.”
The award ceremony will take place on 13 November in London. You can view the full shortlist here.
