NHS Arden & GEM’s cyber security team has been announced as a finalist at this year’s National Cyber Awards in the NHS England Award category.
As digital threats continue to grow, the importance of cyber security cannot be overstated. Cyber attacks pose a significant risk to businesses, governments and individuals. Established as a hallmark of excellence in the industry, the National Cyber Awards, now in their sixth year, recognise outstanding contributions and achievements in cyber security.
RT Hon Keir Starmer, Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, comments on the awards, “The National Cyber Awards are a wonderful way to reward, celebrate and showcase the work of those who are committed to keeping us safe.”
NHS Arden & GEM’s cyber security team was nominated following their success at this year’s Cyber Associate Network (CAN) Awards, coordinated by NHS England.
Tej Gudka, Head of Cyber Security at NHS Arden & GEM, said: “We are very proud to have been recognised by this prestigious scheme. Robust cyber security in healthcare is vital because when NHS IT infrastructure is compromised, patient care is disrupted and delayed. As a team, we work tirelessly with our users and clients to keep devices and systems safe.”
The National Cyber Awards are taking place in London on Monday 23 September 2024.
