The Arden & GEM CSU procurement team has been successfully shortlisted for a CIPS Supply Management Award in the Best Public Procurement Project category. Respected as a benchmark for excellence, the awards are the most prestigious recognition in the procurement and supply chain profession.
The shortlisting is in acknowledgement of a highly complex procurement programme to improve community services across Nottinghamshire, in partnership with six Nottinghamshire Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs), Nottinghamshire County Council, Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and Nottinghamshire Hospice.
The project, which aimed to transform fragmented community service in Nottinghamshire, involved exceptional collaboration between partners and providers, and close stakeholder engagement throughout. This approach has already seen the project receive national acclaim, after winning the Health Care Supply Association (HCSA) award for Procurement and Supply Chain Management Collaboration last winter.
The CIPS awards winners will be announced at a ceremony on 13 September at Grosvenor House, London.
