We are pleased to announce that Arden & GEM’s Finance Team has been recognised by The NHS Finance Leadership Council via award of the One NHS Finance Towards Excellence Accreditation, Level 2.
This prestigious accreditation is designed with three key objectives in mind:
- To confirm good finance skills development practice is established and maintained in all NHS organisations across England.
- To encourage continuous development of the organisational financial competence through increasingly higher standards of skills development within the finance function, thus enabling organisations to meet the challenges of the changing agenda.
- To celebrate the success of organisations who take skills development seriously and so are able to identify continuous improvement of the capability and financial competence of both the finance function and the organisation, as a whole.
Level 2 accreditation indicates a ‘High Level of Performance’ which places a focus on sustained performance and organisation demonstrating “an overall culture that is innovative and consistently supportive of the development of the finance capability throughout the organisation.”
This recognition was achieved via a robust process in which our Finance Team had to provide substantial evidence to demonstrate how Arden & GEM fully meet the criteria provided by One NHS Finance. This included evidence-based submissions and interviews to explore areas such as Infrastructure, personal development, professional development, finance workforce and career planning, corporate financial competence and business controls and policy.
Mark Smith, Director of Finance, NHS Arden & GEM said:
“We are delighted to achieve Level 2 One NHS Finance Towards Excellence Accreditation. This recognition is a direct reflection of the dedication and hard work of our entire Finance Team and the excellent services they provide to both internal and external customers.”
