Usman Malik, Head of EDI at Arden & GEM, has been invited to join an expert panel at the upcoming NHS Workforce Conference North 2023: Looking after our people.
The event, at the Manchester Piccadilly Hotel on 8 February, is part of the Convenzis NHS Workforce Conference series which provides NHS HR/OD leaders the opportunity to listen to the latest policy updates and practical case studies from across the healthcare sector. Previous and continued areas of conversation include Diversity and Inclusion, Culture Change, Staff Recruitment and Retention, Technology and Leadership Development.
The event will open debate on the NHS People Plan, along with the NHS People Promise, focusing on how the NHS must continue to look after each other, foster a culture of inclusion and belonging as well as growing the workforce, training and collaborative working to improve outcomes for patients.
Usman will join the Recruitment and Retention Panel Discussion facilitated by Emily Collinge, Improvement & Delivery Manager / Urgent and Emergency Care Performance / National Chair of Disability and Wellbeing Network (DAWN) NHS England. He will bring his expertise on Equality, Diversity and Inclusion and share learning from an award winning BME Leadership Development Programme delivered in collaboration with Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
