NHS Arden & GEM CSU (Arden & GEM) has been appointed to the NHS England Health Systems Support Framework (HSSF), which will provide health and care organisations with easy access to our services.
The HSSF has been established to provide Sustainability and Transformation Partnerships (STPs) and Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) with access to organisations that can supplement their core capabilities with more advanced innovations and solutions. The framework will deliver an easy, NHS England supported, route to market while simultaneously delivering best value for money.
The decision to appoint Arden & GEM was the result of a competitive tender process, delivered by NHS England. The award was based on our track record of planning and managing large scale, complex programmes of change and extensive experience of working collaboratively with commissioners, direct healthcare providers (including acute, mental health and ambulance trusts), community services, primary care and local authorities.
HSSF service provision will fall into three areas:
- Infrastructure – including local health and care records, ICT infrastructure and strategy
- Insight – including Informatics, analytics and digital tools to support system planning, and care coordination
- Impact and Intervention – including service transformation, patient empowerment and activation, and medicines optimisation.
Arden & GEM was successfully appointed to all of the eight lots where bids were submitted.
“We are delighted to have secured our place on the HSSF. This will provide the opportunity to grow our innovative work alongside Sustainability and Transformation Partnerships, and support the system to deliver the Five Year Forward View.”
John Parkes, managing director at Arden & GEM
The HSSF will become active from August 2018, with NHS England supporting users of the framework to run competitions and put in place robust contracts with pre-negotiated terms and conditions, underpinned by a suite of model specifications.
