NHS colleagues are invited to join the next session of the ‘ADHD and Us’ community on Tuesday 14 April 2026, between 14:00 and 15:00, which will focus on ADHD medications.

The community will be joined by guest speaker, Rizwana Dudhia who is a Specialist Children’s ADHD Assessor and Lead Pharmacist for LD and Autism at North East London NHS Foundation Trust. Rizwana will be sharing her expertise on ADHD medications and explaining the different treatment options available, how these medications work and the possible side effects to be aware of.

Rizwana will also offer practical tips on managing medication effectively to help ensure the best outcomes while minimising challenges. Drawing on her clinical expertise and real-world experience, this session promises to be an informative and supportive opportunity for anyone wanting to better understand ADHD medication and how it can be used safely and effectively.

The ADHD and Us community has been running since October 2025 and was established by NHS Arden & GEM’s HR, Workforce and OD Assistant, Rhiannon Thefaut. Explaining why she set the network up, Rhiannon said:

“In October, I organised our first ever 'ADHD and Us: A Community Discussion' as part of ADHD awareness month. It overran. I organised another session for the next month, and it overran. The same the next month. The demand was there, so I made the group permanent and open to NHS staff – to be a safe space for people diagnosed, looking at a diagnosis or wanting to understand more about ADHD to just talk and feel understood, listened to and supported.”

Six months on and the community now has over 100 members. The March session saw the community invite its first ever guest speaker, Tunde Idowu-Read. Tunde is the Head of School at the Fusion Academy in Leicestershire, and took time out of his busy day to speak to members of the network about his ADHD journey and the work he is doing to run a school for those with autism and/or communication and interaction needs.

Anyone interested in attending the April session, or future ADHD and US community discussions, can email the network.
