Arden & GEM’s Head of Cyber Security, Tej Gudka, was invited to take part in this thought-provoking episode of The Cyber Sessions, which challenged the common misconception that cyber security is solely the domain of IT professionals.
Host Mike Fell, Executive Director of Cyber Operations at NHS England, led an engaging discussion with three senior NHS leaders about how building a positive cyber security culture in the NHS helps create a more resilient healthcare system.
Tej Gudka, was joined by Samantha Robinson, Chief Digital Information Officer at Yorkshire Ambulance Service and Mark Logsdon, Chief Information Security Officer for NHS England, as they shared innovative approaches to engaging staff with cyber security, moving beyond traditional slide decks to more interactive and relevant methods. From using historical storytelling to demonstrating business continuity principles, to practical demonstrations of the importance of password security, the speakers shared successful strategies that resonated with NHS staff.
The speakers discussed the unique challenges of managing mobile workforces while exploring how organisations can empower staff to make informed security decisions. Through relatable analogies and real-world examples, they demonstrated how making cyber security relevant to people's personal lives helps embed good security practices at work.
