Following a year of unprecedented challenges for the healthcare system, NHS Arden & GEM CSU is pleased to share its annual review for 2020/21.
‘In Review’ focuses on how the CSU has helped to deliver local, regional and national priorities during the last year, working closely and collaboratively with our 73 customers.
We reflect on our support to the COVID-19 response including:
- Mobilising IT support for 25,000 users
- Ensuring decision-makers had access to the right insight at the right time through rapid system development and advanced analytics
- Utilising our procurement expertise within the PPE, vaccination and increasing capacity programmes
- Keeping care home residents safe through digital care deliver and by adapting our medicines optimisation services.
The responsiveness of our staff and services, and the innovative solutions they developed, has gained praise from a wide range of customers.
As we move into 2021/22, we will consolidate our position at the heart of Integrated Care Systems – supporting ongoing recovery and delivery of the NHS Long Term Plan. We will continue to work collaboratively with customers to design and implement best practice solutions that enable change and transformation, including population health management, effective leadership, digital innovation and new models of care.
We are proud to have played our part in supporting the health service through the challenges of the past year and look forward to continue delivering against the needs of our customers and investing in our people in order to provide creative, resilient and value for money services.
