The NHS England Specialised Services Clinical Leaders’ Forum took place at the Royal College of Physicians in December 2017. Arden & GEM’s business intelligence team was invited to exhibit and present the National Commissioning Data Repository (NCDR) portal.
The Clinical Leaders’ Forum provides an opportunity for clinicians, commissioners, and patient and public representatives to gain insight into the huge breadth of work within specialised commissioning. The event also enables attendees to receive information and updates, exchange ideas and network with colleagues to plan ways of working together in the future.
Ayub Bhayat, Associate Director at Arden & GEM delivered four well attended presentations, in conjunction with NHS England colleagues, to showcase the recently updated National Commissioning Data Repository (NCRD) portal.
The NCDR is the web based specialised services commissioning intelligence portal developed by Arden & GEM (on behalf of NHS England) to provide users with a comprehensive understanding of the needs of their population. The recent update now features six new areas of analysis including QIPP opportunities, pathway cost analysis, and unwarranted variation by both service line and programme of care, as well as additional functionality to improve user experience.
