NHS Arden & GEM CSU forges stronger links with community partners and charities

We are delighted to announce that Arden & GEM has partnered with the National Housing Federation and the Association of Chief Executives of Voluntary Organisations, in a move which signifies our intention to work more closely with community partners and charities.

As the Accountable Care agenda gathers pace, there is a growing need for health, social care and voluntary organisations to collaborate, in order to improve services and deliver financially sustainable models of care.

Association of Chief Executives of Voluntary Organisations (ACEVO)

ACEVO is the leading voice for chief executives in the third sector with over 1500 members nationwide. Through their network, they inspire and empower civil society leaders to provide the vision, energy and leadership needed to change the world for the better.

Both ACEVO and Arden & GEM support the redesign and transformation of NHS services to increase quality and improve outcomes and value for patients and taxpayers.

Arden & GEM has a history of working with third sector organisations to help provide creative solutions to tackling healthcare challenges.

Jason Bloomfield, Associate Director of Finance, Business Services said

“…this represents a great opportunity for us to share learning, good practice and collaborate with ACEVO’s 1500 members, developing a structured approach to partnership working”.

National Housing Federation

The National Housing Federation is the voice of affordable housing in England, an organisation the NHS already works closely with, particularly around ‘home from hospital’, a project which demonstrates how housing services are successfully reducing delays in discharging people from hospital and preventing unnecessary hospital admissions.

It is therefore a natural fit for Arden & GEM as the first NHS Commissioning Support Unit to partner with the National Housing Federation as they are a social care, community focussed organisation, a key constituent to Accountable Care Systems.

Jason Bloomfield, Associate Director of Finance, Business Services said

“…we have much to offer with our extensive range of business services and NHS expertise which we hope will lead to plenty of mutually beneficial interactions, for the NHF and its members”.
