NHS Arden & GEM Commissioning Support Unit (CSU) has retained the globally recognised ISO 9001/15 standard for quality management across all of its sites and services.
Designed to help organisations ensure they meet the needs of their customers, the successful certification recognises the CSU for having an effective business management system in place that ensures consistent service delivery and a drive for continual improvement. Since the CSU originally achieved the mark in 2015, the standard itself has evolved, placing a greater emphasis on outputs and outcomes rather than specific processes.
The external audit was conducted by the leading certification body, Alcumus, who paid compliment to the CSU’s staff, systems and use of technology to enhance tracking, improve document control and manage projects. The audit also covered a new site in West Bromwich. As a certified organisation, Arden & GEM will be subject to an ongoing programme of external surveillance audits.
Judith Jordan, Head of Integrated Governance at Arden & GEM said: “We are very proud to have retained our certification as it underlines our commitment to our customers and our constant focus on quality. By going through the external audit process we have been able to demonstrate both the resilience of our current service delivery and a desire to further embed a culture of continuous improvement.”
